Working in franchising across Australia and Asia, there's never a dull moment! It's been a super fun and exciting 2025 for the DCS family. Getting to meet so many amazing Aussie entrepreneurs and franchises (of all shapes and sizes) has been so inspirational.
Here are some of the big moments across the year:
Navigating Code of Conduct Changes
March brought major changes to the Franchising Code of Conduct. New rules around termination, disclosure, compensation and restraint of trade, all taking effect from April.
We took time to deliver real clarity, direction and a steady legal hand navigating these new regulatory waters with each client.
Regulation isn't always straightforward, but Sophie and the DC Strategy Lawyers team are simply magnificent ensuring all our clients stay protected and prepared.
The Sydney Franchising Expo
In May, Katie, Jen and I joined forces with Wash Drones across a busy weekend at the Sydney Franchising Expo.
Over two busy days, we enjoyed chatting with business owners, aspiring franchisees, and entrepreneurs exploring their next move in franchising. Some of our best partnerships have started with a simple chat at this expo over recent years.

We've helped new concepts take their first steps, supported established networks through compliance changes, and worked with brands at every stage of growth.
